A full groom with dry bath (no water) is the brushing out of the coat to de-shed and remove any dead undercoat. The coat will be cleaned with either a coat conditioner (for semi/long-haired cats) or foam shampoo (for short haired cats).
A full groom also includes:
Please note that if there is matting or pelting of the coat then additional charges will be applied to the regular cost of the full groom.
This option is only offered if the coat can't be saved due to matting.
A full clip is the shaving of the entire coat to around half a centimetre over the main body, leaving the hair around the cat's face and "boots" on the front and back legs.
A lion clip is exactly what it sounds like! The coat will be shaved in the same way as the full clip, leaving a "mane" around the face/chest, "boots" on the front and back legs. Thepaws and tail will be finished with scissor work to owners preference.
Introducing your cat to our service from a young age is a great way to get them used to being handled and brushed.
We offer a discounted service for kittens which includes:
Kittens must be at least 3 months old (up to maximum 12 months) and fully vaccinated. Larger kittens may be charged at adult rates.
Matting can occur when loose fur is shed and gets caught in the main coat. If regular brushing is not carried out the fur clumps together and creates a solid lump. Leaving matts for too long can cause discomfort and lead to pelting.
Pelting is when lots of matts join together causing serious discomfort, skin and mobility issues for your cat.
Badly matted or pelted coats takes time to remove safely and the additional charge will be added to the regular cost of the full groom.
A hygiene trim is sometimes required for cats who get unwanted "debris" caught around their rear and back leg areas.
After a full groom we can trim or shave the problem areas for a small additional charge.
If we spot signs of fleas or other infestation during your appointment we will still complete the grooming session.
However, an automatic charge will be applied to cover the cost of the additional cleaning required of our tools and surfaces.
If your cat has a flea infestation then you should seek advice from your vet on how best to treat the condition and remove it from your home.
Please ensure you read our Terms & Conditions before your appointment.
